Is All Color Always Better?

Color is great. But what about using color that hightlights your subject better? In the top photo, capturing this athlete's aggressive strike is brought to life by only showing the athlete in color. Notice in the second all color photo that the background color of the Fall trees actually makes the player blend in a little too much with the background.

Every now and then we're lucky enough to capture a crystal-clear photograph....and this is one of them!

Wow, nice pic and color, how do go to iso 3200 on d300?

Just use the ISO button on the top left of the D300 while you rotate the rear thumb wheel right. This will raise the ISO. While rotating the rear thumb wheel left lowers the ISO. You can also adjust the ISO within the D300 menu system.
